Is it true? Are you really selling?
Yep, it's True! After 8 years, we are looking for someone else to take over our business. We've built up a great customer following, excellent social media following, yummy menus and we hope to find the right someone(s) who can take it to the next level or just make it their own!
Why are you selling?
We started this when the kids were 11 and 13 as a way to teach them about running a business. And boy, did they learn! Everything from setting menus & prices, talking to customers, working the grill, marketing and every other aspect of day to day operations was done as a team. Now, the boys have gotten older: one has graduated college and the other will be a junior. Full Time jobs, social lives and other activities are taking priority now and Dad is working more of the events by himself or having to find helpers while still managing his other businesses.
Can I still book you for my special event?
Of Course! We will continue to take care of our customers until the time comes to hand over the reigns. Even then, we'll be helping the new owners to ensure the same great food is served at every event! You can check on our availability by emailing us at wnyfoodcarts@gmail.com
Who could run this business?
We started part time with a 44, 11 and 13 year old. I'm pretty sure we could teach anyone how to be successful with this buisness. This would be perfect for a recent retiree who's not ready to do nothing all day . This can also work as a "summer-only" business for a teacher or school worker who wants a great side gig. Do you want to work it full time? We can help you do that too! Really, this business is great for anyone who wants to make a nice income in a relatively low stress environment while having a lot of fun.
How much are you selling the business for?
We want to ensure whoever buys WNY Food Carts can afford to stay in business and make a profit. We were asking $30,000 for everything you'll need but now that the summer seasseason has started, we'll reducing it as we work more events As of 7-1 the price is $225k..... We have so much booked this summer that we can't sell equipment until after our last gig.
What's "Everything"? In other words, what's included in the sale price?
Obviously, that includes the food trailer and all the equipment inside. Additionally, all of our food inventory, perishables & supplies will be included. We will also share all of our recipes, suppliers, upcoming events, the website, email and social media pages, upcoming events/gigs, refridgerators, freezers, storage and quite literally everything you need to run the business. We'll also arrange to help you when you first take over the business. We want to ensure that WNY Food Carts continues to stay in business, be profitable and grow!
What's not included?
Our phone number won't be included. You'll also need your own computer or phone to keep track of everything.everything. That's it....Everything else you need to run this profitable business from day one (including our help with over 8 years of experience) will all be yours.
What about a truck or tow vehicle?
Our truck isn't included but if you need it, we can make that happen as well. The trailer weighs around 5000lbs so most pickups or full sized vans will tow it easily
Will you self-finance?
We will do whatever it takes to get the right buyers.... except that. We are big believers that successful businesses are built when the owners are all in. We also know from building our other businesses that the pressure of making monthly payments can be daunting. So how you come up with the funding is on you!
